Real beauty comes from the inside. The more transparent, the more this inside beauty will be visible.
The mystery, however, remains. The “real thing” inside projects itself to the outside world and gets a
magical halo. What is really inside? We’ll never know for sure. And that adds to the magic.

Long time ago I started to make glass designs, using the stained glass technique and copper foil to
connect the parts. When I discovered how to make sculptures in glass, my work acquired more life,
thanks to the new dimension. In some of them, to enhance the impact, I installed objects inside. One
day, by coincidence, the sun was just behind a sculpture. When I saw it, I couldn’t believe that this
wonderful piece, full of magic, had been made by myself.
From each angle it seems different. All depends, literally, from your own point of view. And the lightest
variegation of light produces a different shade. Colors and forms change during the course of the day.
Look at it in the morning, and you will not recognize it in the afternoon. Look at it at night, a lamp behind it,
and you wonder if it’s the same thing you saw a few hours ago, transilluminated by sunset’s fireball first,
by glittering crepuscular flickering after. It changes each time, but it remains the same. This hymn to life
strikes you again and again, but always with the same fascination.
